ItaliaCamp: We are finalists with “Make The Cloud Green”
At the beginning of November we were invited to participate, presenting an idea, in the ItaliaCampania event (November 26, 2011), an initiative organized by the ItaliaCamp Association in partnership with the Industrial Union of Naples.
ItaliaCampania is part of the project promoted by the ItaliaCamp Association, conceived with the aim of collecting through the competition entitled “Your idea for the country” the best ideas proposed by civil society to support the growth of our country. The distinctive value of the project is the participation of more than 60 national universities and 10 prestigious international universities. The project and the competition were awarded by the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano for the high institutional value of the “social innovation” process.
ItaliaCamp was then established as a Foundation on 21 December 2011 with illustrious Honorary Presidents (Dr. Antonio Catricalà and Dr. Gianni Letta, the CEO of Poste Italiane, the CEO of Trenitalia, the CEO of Wind, the CEO of Unipol and the CEO of RCS).
We presented ourselves with the “Make The Cloud Green” project launched by us on the board of EuroCloud in the first part of 2010.
The project was presented internally in the “science and technology” section, even though it encroached on the “environment and infrastructure” section, and was among the finalist winners of the event.
The association then organised a meeting on 7 April between the finalists of ItaliaCampania and Peter Ansell, on-shore operations Director of Acea (America’s Cup Event Authority), at the stages set up for the American’s Cup event in Naples

The competition will move to Catanzaro on June 30 for the States General of Southern Europe, where the best ideas will be selected to develop a program for Southern Italy to be presented to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers
